Rust Oleum spray
Hi all,
I have a question regarding the Rust Oleum spray. The flat brown is sometimes used for weathering trucks but do you think the result would be as good with the satin enamel dark brown or chestnut brown? I am from Argentina, Latin America, and I cannot find the flat brown anyway. Maybe another possibility if those satin are not suitable would be some Humbrol or Model Master browns applied with airbrush. It is really a pity because this technique for weathering trucks seems so easy, with great results.
Many thanks for your time and help.
Best regards,

53´ Evans plug door boxcar
Dear all,
I have an H0 53´ Evans plug door boxcar featuring Ralston Purina advertising (I attached a photo). Since I have not found information revealing its true existence I decided to change it. I want it to represent a real prototype. I found an excellent prototype in Rail Pictures, very good for weathering: http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsPicture.aspx?id=10813.

Workable fixative for track laying
I’m getting close to starting track laying on my layout and will be using Central Valley tie strips and turnouts. With the CV ties it seems to work best to have the ability to fine-tune the position of the ties and thus it would be nice to have an adhesive with a slower dry time.
I’ve used caulk in the past with good success for laying flex track, but it gets tacky too quickly. I’d like to know what other adhesives modelers are using that may give me the added dry time. I’ll be laying the ties on homasote.

For the Love of Trains
I found this video (link below) inspirational and interesting in its implications for both what trains mean to people and the possible future of the Hobby. Enjoy

I found the above while doing some research on why Japan started the 'Drive on the Left side of the road'. Its because Britain set up their train systems, Who knew?
Allagash pics - D&H and Maine Central run-through power at Madrid
Hey guys,
Couple new pics from Allagash country (Maine!). Some big changes have come to the Allagash resulting in scenes like the following.
Moderator note: Threads with lots of pictures work best if the initial post is very brief and you post all the juicy content in the *first* comment post on the thread. That way the repeated first post on subsequent pages doesn't have a lot of content to scroll through to get to the rest of the thread. We moved the pictures down a post.

Clamps A Go-Go!
Is there such a thing as being too young, having too much money, or too many clamps? I got a dozen of these little beauties for $5.00 at the last train show that I attended. The pen is in the picture so you can get an idea of the size. I'll be using them in the near future to clamp the overhead door track on my Palmer structure.

Getting notifications
Is there a way for me to get notifications to a post I make or when a thread I want to follow gets a reply or is otherwise updated?
Thanks,
