Looking for TTX decals for HO Walthers F39 flat cars

Group,

A modeling friend has offered to paint and decal some old Walthers HO scale 75' F39 flatcars, 2 in the yellow scheme and 2 in the red scheme. I orderd and received Microscale 87-578 decals for the yellow cars. The problem is the inside of the channel where the lettering goes is .102" tall, the black section with the "TRAILER TRAIN" lettering is .192".

Is there someone out there that makes a TTX set for a yellow F39, or do I need to use N scale decals?

QSI Decoder from Older Atlas MP15AC

I have an older Atlas MP15AC that came with a QSI sound decoder.  My decoder stopped working and I contacted QSI to see if they have a replacement.  However, this is quite an older decoder and wanted to see if a newer decoder from SoundTraxx or ESU Loksound would be a better way to go.  However, my concern is that there seems to be some unique wiring from the motor to the board (2 small yellow capacitors soldered to the motor; see photo).  Additionally, there are two unique plug in clips for the decoder and special connectors for the cab headlight.  If I went with a

Need help identifying who made my 4-4-2

Ebay can be a place full of marvelous treasures sometimes, such as this beautifully super detailed 4-4-2 that I managed to find purely by chance while trolling through listings for a good deal. She came with a pair of kit-built super detailed coaches (which helped offset the fact I paid about $100 for the whole lot) and after some mcgyvering to repair a broken wire connection between the tender and engine with what amounts to a duct tape band-aid on the insulated connector, I managed to get her going.

Bachmann (HO) 70 Ton Question

Folks,

Quick question regarding the HO Bachmann 44/70 ton chassis, old vs new - will the old version 70 ton shells fit on the newer, single motor chassis?

I have several of the old two motor versions, with custom painted shells and I'd like to upgrade them to the newer single motor drives, if the shells will fit.

Thanks,

Al Carter, Mount Vernon, WA
