Rapido Canadian - How do they run?
Now that Rapido is shipping out there Canadian sets, how do those who received them like them.
Does the FP9 meet expectations?
How well do the passenger cars perform?
What do you think of the finish of the passenger cars?
Would you have bought the set now that you know what it is like,

Finding a donor frame for a diesel loco build. (Help needed)
Greetings
I have been reading MRH since it was first released and I have finally decided to get my hands dirty with this marvelous hobby also making my first post here, therefore sorry for newbie (and linguistic) errors. My current project is following:
Because I live in Estonia, the most iconic freight loco I can remember was Chme3 (ЧМЭ3, made in USSR) and I would like to replicate this wonderful piece of steel in HO scale. [Basically, in Czechoslovakia they were produced as ČKD T699]
Wanted: NWSL 64-4 Quarterer II
I'm looking for a 64-4 Quarterer II by NWSL, if anybody knows of a far off place with one still on their shelf...
Thanks.
Beginners question
Hi all
I'm just starting in this hobby. Models like Bachmann Baldwin 2-8-0 Consolidation, Bachmann USRA 0-6-0 w/Slope Tender, Bachmann ALCO 2-6-0, Athearn 2-8-0 Consolidation or Athearn 2-6-0 Mogul are affordable models to get started but will they run on code 70 or 55 track. I'm thinking of hand laying track.
I'm going for the DCC versions if available. How do they run in general?
English is not my first language and therefor there can be some spelling mistakes. My apologies.

Bowser puts out a call for help
Lee English of Bowser Trains sent out an e-mail today (Friday 6/8/2012) requesting roof photos of "Canadian Alcos" - the MLW M636 and M630.
Drawings of these locomotives are being prepared to send to the mold maker.
Anyone who can help is requested to contact Lee English at bowser@bowser-trains.com or call 570-368-2379.
HO Scale Bachmann Spectrum USRA Light Mountain spares
Hi All,
Greetings from South Australia,
I have just purchased a second hand Spectrum USRA Light Mountain, however the LH Eccentric crank, eccentric rod and gear connecting rod are missing from the loco.
Does anyone have a spare (off a dead loco) that they would be willing to part with (name your price).
Thanks in advance,
Peter Michalak,

Norfolk Southern Heritage Units - HO Scale?
Hi Everyone,
I did a bit a search but couldn't find anything - does anyone know of any options to buy the HO Scale versions of Norfolk Southern's Heritage units? I know Atlas is making some, but they'll easily run $200-$300 per loco (AUD) which will mean it'll take a long time to collect them all
I'm not really picky about them being super detailed.
Anyone know of any alternatives? or an easy 'good value' way of doing it?
Thanks in advance
Russ
