Hey guys, just curious about your thoughts on roundhouse rolling stock. I've heard good things about them in the past, but want to see what you all think before I buy! Thanks in advance!

Unknown type or value
There are three of these cars that were given to me and I'd like to learn more about them. I'm not a hobbyist so more info than less is good.
Re-box locomotives
I have a few locomotives that I have yet to add to my layout but do not have the box the locomotive came in.
Decided that I should go for a display box for the interim.

How much did an SW9 cost brand new?
Does anybody know how much did and EMD/GMD SW9 cost brand new?
The reason being is when the city of London went shopping for diesels to replace the [not in fact] "worn out" L&PS electric equipment they deemed the SW9 too expensive and bought G12 export model, and I just want to know if city council was being excessively cheap (as usual) or there was a substantial price difference

A locomotive now delegated as a helper
A CPR 2-10-0, once used in both freight and passenger service now delegate to helper service in the Rogers Pass area.
The new Queen of the main line
Running in new Heavyweight locomotive for my laout
I decided that a heavyweight engine was needed for the layout. Here it is getting a run in to ensure it is running properly.
Budget Scrap Load
I’ve been building a scrap load for a hopper car, using—well—scrap. Boilers that weren’t quite right for my Class A Climax, parts from my parts box, sprue bent and twisted, even a couple of old horn-hook couplers cut into pieces, all went in. A few plastic wheelsets got cut to pieces, and individual wheels, aloing with a truck piece or two. Additionally, a large sheetrock anchor came out of the wall in pieces—I painted that and glued it in place. It looks like some sort of machine part.
Loose/Worn Gears effect (lunging on down hill grades)
Sometime back I read an article on MRH about loose or worn gears causing (steam) locomotives to "lunge" on down hill grades. Now, I can not find article.
I have one Rivarossi Mikado that lunges, more or less, depending on the number of cars it is hauling on the down hill grades.
Can anyone advise me on which article I may have been reading, please?
