I was having a little fun this morning, inspired by a discussion on another forum about editing digital photographs to resemble old black & white photos. What do you think?

JJL Models Status
Folks -
Being that Joe Lofland, owner of JJL Models, passed away in March 2014, does any know if any other company will pick up his products & offer them to the model community? He had great Erie caboose kits, but what I really liked was that he produced a locomotive that you rarely see in HO Scale: the Lima LS-1200 switcher (& yes, Alco Models had a brass version back in the 1970s, but good luck getting your hands on one today).
Athearn Plastic Handrails
I am having a lot of trouble keeping Athearn plastic hand rails on my locomotives. I have an operating layout so they do get some handling. I would like to glue them on with some type of adhesive. Any ideas?
MTH dcc decoupling on ES44AC
Are there any issues involving MTH's H0 de/coupling on their ES44AC locos.
Are there coupling issues dependent on the type of coupler it tries to mate to.
Thinking about buying one.

Bachmann vs Atlas S2
I have an old, original run Atlass/Roco S2. I absolutely love this locomotive. It is 30 some years old and runs like a Swiss watch. I am wanting a second S2. I am tempted by the DCC and Sound equipped Bachmann S2. I am looking for opinions on the Bachmann vs the Atlas version. I know the Atlas version has changed, is now made in China I believe... Open to comments and opinions.
NRE Genset with MRC Sound Decoder
I have 2 NRE Gensets with MRC sound decoders. My issue is they start up way too fast going forward. Right when I get to speed step 1 its already going too fast. Reverse is fine. I tried dabbling with CV's 2 thru 4 ( Start voltage , acceleration/deceleration) but without success.
What is kick start voltage and how can I either eliminate or prolong the time frame that the engine shuts down and restarts from idling mode ?
Lettering position help
Hello! I am finalizing the company image for my freelanced railroad, the Spring City & Northern (SPRG), and am looking for your opinion. Here are two versions of the lettering. SPRG 405 on top with the lettering straight across the top, and SPRG 404 on the bottom with the lettering stacked. Which do you prefer? The SPRG is set in southern Wisconsin, circa 1995, and most of the rolling stock in company paint will be hoppers. Although a good chunk of them will be all gray instead of the blue and gray.
BLI E Units short out on my track (first run)
I thought it was my BLI Sp Daylight car, but it turns out it is my E Units. If I run them separate they will short the system out a couple of times per run. But if I run them together it is shorting out several times per run. It happens all over the layout, striaght sections curves and turnouts. Very odd.
