Printable dollhouse...Model railroad useful!
If you go a search for "Printable Dollhouse Wallpaper," or flooring, or furniture, or curtains, or whatever, you can find some great things, though it will be necessary to print them smaller than dollhouse scale. Furniture should look good enough for many interiors; floors, rugs, wallpaper, etc are very good :)
make your own laser-etched brick
Recently Douglas Meyer posted a detailed analysis of modelled brickwork. He pointed out that the size of bricks, the depth of "mortar" grooves and the finishing methods in common practice are highly variable. Some methods yield relatively realistic results, others less so.

Realistic Corrugated material for large building in HO scale
Good morning.
I am interested in building a rather large mill out of corrugated styrene. The building will be similar to the Walthers steel mill building. I know I could kitbash, but recently I have been very happy with the results of some scratchbuilt projects that turned out to be easier than I thought and left me with spectacular results. I wanted to do the same with this mill complex that I plan to build. My question is what is the most realistic corrugated metal-looking styrene to use?

FRP Adhesive: any alternative use for scenary??
I hate to throw stuff away :). I used fiber reinforced plastic board (FRP) for backdrops and its specialized adhesive goop. I have at least 3.5 gallons of the relatively expensive stuff left over (it wasn't available in smaller lots). I hate to throw it out for landfill. Has anyone ever used it to form scenery? I can imagine it easily spreading over foam or cloth scenic material to form a hard shell. It's non-toxic and has almost no odor. It dries quite fast in the thin coats used to apply FRP sheets.
Sketchup Question
I’m working on my first real (i.e., not just doodling) project in Sketchup - a simple flat surface of a gambrel-roofed building (a gambrel roof is barn-shaped). The purpose of the sketch is to create a template that I can use to cut foam-core board to the proper dimensions for a mockup I’m building.
Diamond Scale Chip Car Loader Instructions Needed
Hoping someone might have a set of instructions for this kit. Purchased a Diamond Scale Const Chip Car Loader at one of the train shows and didn't notice that a complete set of instructions was not included before putting it on the shelf.

Print Out Buildings
Amazing to think you just download them, print them, stick them to card, and stick them together.

New Cedar color help
I am doing a scratchbuild of a hotel that has a large porch. I would love for it to be a natural (no weathered) cedar color. Any thoughts on mixing colors to get that look?
Installing Walthers Rail with ties into walthers single track truss bridge.
I am working on installing a Walthers single truss bridge on the layout. I have also purchased the Walther single track and ties for the bridge. I am looking for recommendations for gluing the track and ties to the trestle or if people have other methods of attachment they prefer to use.
Gallery glass for water
I have read somewhere that gallery glass can be used to model water. I have tried a little in the bottom of a cup and it dries clear. Has anyone tried it? How did it work out? Tips?
