Campbell Scale Model Wharf #307
I purchased an older CSM Wharf #307 on ebay (estate sale item) and find that the instructions seem to "end" at "Step 10" with no follow-on directions for all the many remaining wood parts. The drawings and templates are included but it is difficult for me to determine where all the remaining parts are placed. Does anybody know from their building experience of this kit if there are additional instructions after "Step 10" for all the remaining wood parts?
Walthers Car Float and Apron
I was wondering if anyone can tell me what is an appropriate era for a Walthers Car Float and Apron? I am looking for something that would fit in the 1930s to 1940s . I have the Walthers Car Float and Apron in hand but am just not sure if it fits my era.

Decaling Windows
Is it best to put decals on the inside or outside of plastic "glass" on structures? Is there anything special to do it either way? Thanks
Tmtv dirt road mixes
On the tmtv video on creating dirt roads he describes mixes such as "one part tan, one part brown etc". What material are the "parts?" Are they different colors of grout or something else?
Let's see what you have created with this putty
I'm finally going to embark on some experimenting with this putty before applying it to my layout.
I'd love to see what forum members have done with this medium.

Straightening Scenic Express Super Trees
Hello - I recently purchased some Scenic Express Super Trees, and most of them are bent pretty badly. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to straighten them out?
Thanks
Buying photographs of locomotives and cars not because you wanted the subject of the photo but because you wanted the background
I was going through my collection of IC photographs today and I realized that I had a lot of photos of the same engine or car. Then it hit me that I've bought a lot of photos and slides for what was in the background.
Yes, show me a photo of the railroads in Centralia IL in the 1950s I'll probably buy it. I must have a half dozen different photos of IC 2614 a 4-8-2 built at Paducah KY shops in the 1940s. But everyone of those photos has something different in the background that I need to model for the layout.

Roll Up Doors in the 1930's?
Does anyone know if roll up type doors were used in warehouses / factories in the 1930's.
I haven't had much success searching the internet or locating a photo.
Don

mineral spirits?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
I often read about modelers thinning oil based paints with mineral spirits to thin. I google search 'mineral spirits' and it looks to me like mineral spirits are pretty heavy strippers. They all have names like 'klean strip'. is this the stuff I should be using? Will it harm the plastic rolling stock?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
