Would paversand work as a ground cover with ground foam added later.?both sand and ground foam would use white glue as an adhesive?
Applying ground foam on wet latex paint
Ok so I have spent 6 hours making ground foam to cover a hillside, am I able to paint the hillside with flat latex paint and sprinkle the ground foam over the wet paint and not use glue?
Will the foam absorb the paint? Thank you
Old school N Scale Scratch build
My fiend Joe D’Amato gave me some wood kirs a while back, one of them was complete, the other, not so much. But it did have a lot of lumber, some corrugated siding and board and batton…he’s also friends with the owner of Campbell Models in Oregon. Campbell doesn’t have any desire to make more N Scale kits, but their HO is a great source of inspiration…my inspiration for this is their Paint Factory…
How model weather vane and model of a model
Below are two photos of the elements on the top of a station i am modeling -- White River Junction Vermont. I would appreciate any advice on how to model these- especially the steam engine -- a model of a model. Both the vane and the steam engine will be about 1 CM length to scale.
Static grass applicator - Noch Grassmaster 2.0 vs Woodland Scenics Static King?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking to get a static grass applicator. I have used the Noch 1.0 one in the past (borrowed). My local shop carries both the 2.0 and the Woodland Scenics Static King.
Has anyone used both? I have not been able to find a direct comparison. Any thoughts on the Static King? It is a bit cheaper..

OK. The final report from our testing lab in the Cincinnati area and two thumbs up (I'm pretty sure he still has all of his thumb type digits) from the "amazing Randy" have convinced the bored (sp) of directors to release "Hawaiian Mist" to the public. You have the option, at no extra cost, of using it on your hair or emptying it and using it with your favorite wetting fluids for track ballasting and scenery wetting. DO NOT GET IMITATIONS OR THE AERESOL VARIETY OF TRESSEMME. GET THE ORIGINAL NON AERESOL ONLY............

Older Style Wooden Coaling Towers
These are a couple of coaling tower models I picked up over the years. I think they are plastic models, but you wouldn't know that from their excellent appearance.
Alternatives to Cricut
I use a Cricut Explore often — as my posts here testify. I am a big fan of these cutting machines. However, I find Cricut’s design space very clumsy and limiting. I know that I can design in other programs (I use Inkscape) but I would like the option of a better design program integrated into the cutting machine. Do others have any experience in this matter?
