Anybody done the setup for a Tsunami 1 on a ProtThrottle?

While I have a couple of LokSound locos I also have some TSU1 locos. I am just now contemplating setting them up for my PT. Any tips would be welcome

ProtoThrottle Milestone

Today, we just finished shipping all the ProtoThrottle pre-orders. Thank you to all who ordered, and to the MRH community where this all started. We look forward to seeing where this goes in the future.

Digitrax/JMRI/WiThrottle server/ProtoThrottle brake issues

One of the two locos (both LokSound micros) I have set up on the ProtpThrottle always starts up with the brake set. I can't release it with the PT. I suspect this is a Digitrax issue but I don't know how to fix it. I can use my DT402 and release the brake and run the loco. I shut down the loco with ALL the functions OFF.

Auscision Models 830 class Alco

Finally, after pre-ordering in 2015, our new 830's arrived!

These Alco DL531's have come factory fitted with ESU LokSound Select decoders, and run like a charm. Marker lights (classification lights), number boards and headlights are all independently controllable, courtesy of some neat function mappings and logic.

Overall, these loco's are superb, and despite the wait - are worth every dime - I only wish I'd ordered a few more!

NCE BACHMAN GP7 VOLUME CONTROL

I Know the function 8 key turns sound on or off, but is there a way to just change (lower) the volume of the sound for a Bachman GP7 using NCE power cab? I do not have the paperwork that came with the loco?  any assist is appreciated.  I am still looking on line but thought Id tap into some knowledge here.

Ingalls 4-S

Greetings all,

I've gotten a job to install a sound decoder in a brass Ingalls 4-S. Doing research I know this loco had some type of marine V-8 in it but I have no idea what kind. My question is has anyone done a install for this engine and if so what decoder was used? Of course I would prefer using a Soundtraxx if I can.

Thanks in advance!

Canadian hobbyists, Happy Canada Day.

I wonder if we can set up a bonfire this close to the tracks.

Dunn International Papers

Here a short clip of my paper mill layout, it’s a 10ft x 8ft U shaped switching layout.

The paper mill comprises of three tracks and two turnouts, which the branch comprises of three track, two on the branch itself and one that leads to the paper mill. There is also a tiny MOW siding which normally houses the railroad’s crane.

I’ve cherry picked ideas for Dunn Papers at Port Huron, MI and International Papers in Biglerville, PA allowing me to have a number of different that’s of cargo arrive and depart from the mill
