bad news for N Scale Southern Pacific modelers....

I have been in communication with a Micro-Trains rep on Facebook, and I have discovered that there will be issues......

"The new SW1500's will have an operating front light, not rear. We will release our first planned road names in the August Micro-News.

Our SP release will have the number board on the front of the cab, but will not include the unique headlight configuration."

no word yet on the trucks

No DCC plugs in Kato New P32's

Kato did not put a DCC plug in Engine, they said it would add to much to price. Duu. They now say they are creating a set of instructions to hard weir in decoder. So what's wrong with this story. Another major manufacture did not do market research and put out incomplete engine not ready for prime time.

My solution is easy don't buy them, if enough of us do not buy them maybe they will get the message.

GE or EMD??

I've read in several places that describe GE locomotives as "temperamental" and sometimes "inferior", is there actual grounds to that or is it just a case of "used to EMD's and reluctant to change"?

just curious,

EMD SD 24 by Hallmark Models

I acquired two brass SD 24s made by Hallmark models today. They are quite old and show some very mild rust or dirt on them. I would like to get them all cleaned up and painted, then add dcc sound to them. So I am looking help on where to start. I also notice that they don't have the windows or number boards with them. So I need to know where I can find them.

Any help would be appreciated

Alan.
