I know that in the past we were talking about the LHS dying. I found this video of this huge train store and they only sale trains in Nebraska in the the middle of no-where and it seems a success.

Ottawa Model Train Expo
Attended the Ottawa model Train Expo yesterday. Spoke briefly with the guys manning the MRH booth. Fairly decent show, over representation of N and large scale (O and G) as far as layouts went, in my opinion. I model in HO and there were only 2 complete HO layouts.
Railroad Prototype Modelers - Valley Forge, March 2014
I attended the RPM-Valley Forge meet last weekend in Malvern, PA and had a great time operating on local layouts, meeting with old friends, making some new friends, reviewing some great models on display, and taking in several informative presentations. The weekend of concentrated activity has recharged my model railroading batteries! I snapped several images with the iPhone to document techniques and ideas and posted a few below. I encourage other attendees of the 2014 RPM-Valley Forge event to post some of their favorite photos from the meet.

Concord New Hampshire Model Railroading
The Concord Model Railroad Club is located in Penacook, New Hampshire. For over 25 years 
they have existed promoting model railroading by attending events and displaying their large, modular, HO, layout at several shows along with at their own show held once a year in Concord NH.

February 2014 marked our 40th year serving the model railroading community. Over the last 40 years we have seen remarkable changes in the hobby. Some have been amazing and some real head scratchers! As a store we have worked with model railroad enthusiasts to help improve the hobby and make it more enjoyable for all.
