Old Bay District | A layout big on craftsman kits and scenery.

Hopefully I am not posting too much... To that one guy on Facebook sorry, I'll only post a few videos.
This year I built two kits I had sitting in my kit cache. Both were high end craftsman kits from different eras. The first, as seen in another topic titled Shipyard at Foss, was built very similar to the kit design. This kit will be planned out from the ground up, literally.
In video one we talk about the design and how it will fit into the broader scene of two dioramas joined as one.

Ok so while I build away on
Ok so while I build away on my current project. I wanted to continue sharing a set of projects I started in 2016. Later next year I want to combine these into a 6 foot Toma module.
I realize though that not many folks do this type of video for their model builds. What can be said about a structure that takes 6 hrs to complete, not much. These two dioramas together easily will eat up 100+hrs of work. So I have some things to talk about, insight into my process of thinking outside the box, tips on how I build on the cheap and some scratch building. Especially considering my TWO Tidewater Wharf kits are both incomplete...

I write about a new brick
I write about a new brick technique, in a future MRH article. But this idea didn't come to me in an epiphany...
I learned it by trying again and again till I got it. Clearly in this video, I was almost there, but in hindsight I know now I was way off still.

In this video we decide to open the doors on the ship repair dock. Too bad I already glued and screwed, and painted and glassed her up... Pff the price of a good idea is stress...

how I combine two dioramas
Building a layout sometimes is a combination of static diorama scenes. Like this instance.
