New year, new trains ...
Happy new year to everybody!
And what am I doing while waiting for the first issue of the new magazine? Yes, I'm railroading. On the floor with the newest German 0-Gauge-Trains made by Lenz:
And what are these two guys talking about? Hm, a new magazine? Made by whom? Interesting ...
Naming my Layout Part III
I have finally come up with a name that works for my layout. It's different yet it is descriptive and it works for me. My layout is now officially the Hudson and Hartford. Now all I need to do is design a logo and create some letterhead and railpasses.
Luckily, I have son who is into graphic art and I will ask him to come up with those for me. I figure he is going to owe me big time since I am paying for his bride's engagement ring.
Adding a photo to an MRH blog entry
A question was sent to MRH recently asking how to add photos to a blog entry. I decided this was a topic that deserved it's own blog entry. I personally think trying to explain this without having access to the images would be futile.
NOTE: Since Jeff posted this, we've added a newer, simpler method for posting images, and we demonstrate it in this video.
New Year, New Layout - The Track Planning Update
In order to meet popular demand, I dug out the digital version of the track plan last night. I did the original drawing in Right Track 7.0, exported the final as a JPEG, and used Paint to add a bit of color. The grid squares are 12 inches by 12 inches.
Stony Creek
Hi there, Fellow modellers. Stony Creek is an Australian based on30 layout built purely on imagination. It dosen't represent any particular place and I have a lot more pics. to show later on when space permits. The layout is L shaped and comes in at 13.5 ft. long. It was the feature layout in the October 2007 edition of the Australian magazine Narrow Gauge Downunder.
I look forward to hearing your comments and always happy to answer any questions.

Smoky Mountain Trains Museum
Located in Bryson City, NC just behind the Smoky Mountain Railroad station and depot this museum houses the largest collection of Lionel trains with over 7,000 pieces of locomotives, rolling stock, trackside details and accessories. Some pieces dating back to 1918 and are displayed in enclosed floor to ceiling wall length cases.
I hope you enjoy the short video tour.
