Some Rambling Thoughts Designing Scenes---

I tend to think of this thing a lot lately. The idea of scenery and how much is too much has even come into more subdued play in here I find. One set of recent articles in MRR have caught my attention with various mentions of certain layouts with less 'clutter'.

MRH January Newsletter available!

The Model Railroad Hobbyist (somewhat belated) January newsletter is now available! This month's newsletter was delayed while we focused on getting the new LITE Edition of our magazine out.

I love it!

Joe,

I just finished reading your first issue and am looking forward to the next one.  I think you have hit on a winner!  I think the interactive components make your production even better.  Keep 'em coming!

Model Railroad Hobbyist Issue One

I've been slowly reading thru MRH premiere issue and it has definitely cut into my model raiload time. But its time well spent since I've learned from I have read and most probably from I haven't gotten to yet. I think Joe and his crew have done a great job and they are all to be commended for what is going to be one of the greatest things to come down the pike since DCC.

Modeling Steel

What To Do

Being out of the hobby for roughly twenty five years, I'm contemplating what and where to start modeling. My former scale was HO. Looking at my rolling stock and motive power of 25 year vintage, I think I'm better off starting from scratch. This time around I am considering N scale for reasons of space.
