Prussian/German trains in 1860
I got a request from my son wanting information about Prussian/German trains in 1860 to talk about them in his European history class at college/university.
I have not done any research yet myself, but I was thinking that instead of just googling I would ask here for recommended resource, hoping someone who has researched the subject could point me to a good link or two to read.
Thanks in advance,
BSME Final run

BSME to relocate
The Baltimore Society of Model Engineers has been given their 90 day notice to vacate their location at 225 W. Saratoga street, Baltimore, Maryland after 66 years!
Due to this and the power issues we experienced in November we will not be holding any more open houses and will be concentrating on packing and relocation.
We have three locations we are already looking into as a possible new home.
Extended: Berrett Hill trains small business Saturday sale

Structure Book format choice
Has anyone bought either of the Structure plans books from the MRH store? I was wondering which format is best for this type of book, I see the choices are epub, landscape, or portrait PDF.
As I expect I might want to print out some of the plans I was wondering if one format is better than the others. If anyone has experience with the book and either format I would appreciate any input.
Thanks,
Jim
Berrett Hill touch toggles and the Arduino
Since Kevin at Berrett Hill Trains (a MRH sponsor) sent an email about a once in a lifetime sale, I thought I would let people know they can easily use the touch toggles with the Arduino.
If you are not familiar with his products he makes touch sensitive controls (touch toggles) and control boards that connect to the controlled accessory. He has boards to control stall motor switch machines (e.g. tortoise), snap action machines (e.g. atlas twin coil), servo control and servos for turnouts or other animation, and a relay base to turn on/off heavy loads.
Layouts and hobby shops to visit
I'll be traveling to Burnsville, NC (about halfway between Johnson City, TN and Asheville, NC) and would like to know about any model railroad clubs/layouts that might be available to visit. Also any hobby shops in the area that are recommended. I'll be heading down I-81 to I-26 to get there and staying about a week, and anything in the western part of NC and eastern part of TN might be within range, say 1-1.5 hours from Burnsville.
Track blog/post without posting
I would like to know if there is a way to track a blog or any web post without posting to the thread?
I have read a number of threads that I'd like to file for future reference, and can search for them, some times that works some times not. It would be nice if I could just click a button that says track this thread, so I can get back to it easily and know if there are any updates.
Also why are just recent blog posts listed on the home page and not all recent posts?
Pricing for prototype (1:1 scale) parts
Our club has some unique railroadianna, and have been approached about selling our RF&P Headlight and number board (the one that goes below the cab) from a steam locomotive, don't recall the type. I was wondering if anyone could suggest a place to look to determine what price we should ask for it. The locomotive number is 304, in case someone knows something unique about that locomotive.
Thanks,
