coal mine switching pattern's
Ok guys, so Nolan's arbitrarily decided on a deadline of this July to start ops, {never mind it's probably going to take us another year to finish track and wiring - rrrgh Nolan!!) so I'm working on setting up the train sequence and that sort of stuff. I know the L&N called it's early TOFC trains "TOTE" trains and a typical day was split into the three tricks; Morning, afternoon, and graveyard. I've also finally fit the layout - VERY ROUGHLY - to a part of the L&N system - Nashville northwest towards Indiana.
Mr. Nolan's HO Empire: Layout Update, July - December 2020
So I don't normally ask for feedback, but just for sake of my sanity (and to guage how interesting my vids actually are...) are you guys actually watching this stuff, or just clicking?

SCL in 1984
Hey guys, back with a research request this time. One of the recent gentlemen that's shown up to the club here in town has a 30X30 building behind the house that he and I are planning on sticking a double decker/partial mushroom design in. Prototype is Seaboard Coast Line, era is 1984 between the L&N absorption and CSX, and territory is the Birmingham to Manchester section covering Birmingham, Bessemer, Cosa Pine, Talladega, LaGrange and Manchester.

Ballasting on Ceiling Tiles
How do you guys that have used ceiling tiles go about sealing the surface? It probably should have been done before hand but at this point all the track's been glued down. I've tried different percentages of glue and wet water mix but they don't seem to stick. Was thinking of trying full strength Elmers glue with a sand undercoat and then coming back with the ballast after it dried.
