Track Spikes
I am looking at these spikes http://www.micromark.com/small-spikes-pkg-of-1000,8607.html from Micromark and was wondering if anyone has used them. They look an awful like Micro Engineering spikes. I have been using the Walthers spikes https://www.walthers.com/exec/productinfo/948-360 I am having a hard time finding the walthers spikes here in Canada. I found some at Trainworld but was not going to pay $50 us dollars for shipping of 10 packs of spikes so im on hold hand laying my track till i get some more spikes. Good thing theres always something to do on model railroad.

Looking For This
Roof. The car started from a undecorated kit from Branchline. I swore that at one time you could get the roof from Atlas when they took them over but it's no were to be found on their website. I have emailed Atlas and am waiting their reply. Does any body have any ideas who makes a roof like this. Its a 40' Diagonal panel roof. I have to build say 20 or more of these cars. The other thing I was thinking of was to have them 3D printed. Would this be a wise option or to costly.
Simple Switch Control
Here is what I will be using to control my switch's on the layout. In these photos you can see the parts that I used and how I used them. All these parts I got from my local hardware store, electronics store and a hobby shop that deals with remote control airplanes.
New Beginings
Finally thought I would share with you what I have been up to over the past year beside's helping a friend build his TH&B Railroad. These are the track plans that I have come up with for modeling the C&NW in 1989. The layout starts in Mitchell yard, heads East to St Francis then South down the Old Line to Oak Creek Wis. Most of this is plan is set in stone (sort Of). I'm up for some input and any type of improvements'. The plan is based on Fast Tracks switch's but I'm not sure About going that route, I'm really liking the Proto87 stuff they have.
