Oscar and Piker

YES! I finally got them!

An Oscar and Piker! (eBay finds)

The Oscar is half built, which is fine (though the interior colours have grown on me, the exterior I'll have to change)

The Piker is still in all of it's original plastic... WOW that's a lot of little bits of wood pieces!

My first ever "Craftsman" kits... I'll probably finish the Oscar first, seeing how it's half way finished, it will give me some clues on how best to build the Piker.

Big Boy documentary

I found this to be really cool. It's an oldie... but new to me...

Product Review (MagLED) HO-N

All Scales: This review is HO.

Okay, so... you folks have heard me talk about magnetic lighting in the past (for lighting a Bobber Caboose) but now there's a new product out by "MRRHQ" called the "MagLED". It's actually a whole system of magnetic lighting for cars that consists of the "MagLED Master Control Board" ($12.99) "MagLED Accessory Harness" ($2.99) and the "MagLED Extension Board" ($4.99)

It's an Uphill Battle!

Information any model railroader may already know... but, James Mays always seems to present these things in an entertaining, and informative way. (I blame this man for getting me back into Model Railroading, what with his "Flying Scotsman with Authentic Chuffing Sound")

Found my Old Trains! (lots of pics)

I figured I would do a personal journal, as I have a lot to say... and show.

A "show and say", is what I'm tellin' here... (or is that a "show and tell"?)

Digitrax Sound Files

Okay, so... so far, I can only find three places to find Digitrax sound projects (the SPJ files... I have attempted to make my own, but that didn't work out in the least!)

The three places I've found are the Digitrax sound library, the Digitrax Yahoo group, and "https://groups.io/g/AnPRR".

Out of the three groups, I still haven't found something suitable for a 4-4-0 engine. (and before someone sends me the PDF that mentions the 0-4-0 at AnPRR, I would like to assure you, it hasn't been made yet... it's still a future project)

Big Jobs-Little Jobs

So, those who have followed me, know I started a layout on top of the bookshelf attached to my desk. Those of you know I started out modeling the "Old West", which turned into the "Wild West", which was far from prototypical, and then "Movie set of the Wild West" (suggested by one of the kind folks here... forgive me for not remembering names... I can look it up, maybe?) which opened up a LOT more possibilities, and is the PERFECT thing to model for a first layout. (I mean... movie set... I want Steam Punk on the rails? DONE! I want a Western? DONE!

Flangers

So I've been contemplating making a car that can be used to clear the flanges on track after ballasting (and can be run every so often to make sure no debris is interfering with operations) and then tonight, while in the porcelain library, reading an old model railroading magazine, I discovered "Flangers"!
