Selling my train.

I find it interesting that the topic of selling a layout or house with a layout is at a relative forefront.  In the past I’ve marveled at how a car or a motorcycle have depreciated in a very short time to a very small amount.  I began to realize long ago that artsy things like paintings and model railroads were sold for pennies on a dollar of their “time” worth.  Selling a home with a Model Railroad included is no more than a hallucination.  Not there,,,,,,,,,,,yet..........

When Warflight finally completes his train of Oscars and Pikers, he's going to need some unusual power to go with it, isn't he ?

I was thinking of a 2-4-4-2 compound articulated, perhaps in a Mother Hubbard configuration.

Or a center cab made of two Athearn Hustlers back to back as a center cab. Use the rubber band drive as it provides diesel sound at no extra cost. Sort of.

Sponsoring Advertisers Comment

I am very pleased to see American Limited, Athearn, Atlas, Bachman, Blair Line, Bowser, Con Cor,Micro Trains, North American Railcars (PWRS), Rapido, Scale Trains, and Walthers advertise (subsidies) here.

It has been my long grumble that in particular Intermountain Railway but also Exact Rail, Tangent, Accurail and others who are mentioned often in the posts are not represented in the Sponsors Listing.

Enough said?

OK....

Remember that I vote with my dollars and am usually silent about who I buy from.

Comfortably noob in the MRR vortex.

“How did you spend your weekend?” asked one friend of mine at the work. “Nothing special, among other things  i was watching videos in the youtube about RR modeling”  I said.  “And?”  he insisted.  I started talking about and I didn’t realise that I was talking more and more passionate about all the nice things I had seen and learnt. A second friend participated and both together encouraged me to talk.

Windows Update and a TCS DCC Install

Got home from work yesterday to find my new TCS WowSound Diesel Kit and Intermountain F7B had arrived. Yay. At the same time I started to drop the decoder into the F7, I started up my gaming computer (8 GB RAM, internet at 30 MB/s), forgetting Windows had scheduled an update.

I open the shell, start up the soldering iron, and locate all of my tools for an install. 5% complete.

I can't help but think of racing this update. 6% complete.
