Kootenay Express 2019 - the 2019 PNR Regional Convention

I've only been to a few PNR Regional Conventions in the past, aside from assisting in running the 2018 one in Portland last year. In my limited experience, they are a scaled down version of the NMRA national - you have clinics, layout tours, prototype tours, non-rail tours and activities, a contest/celebration room, possibly a silent auction, and lots of people wandering around with big white nametags hanging from their necks.

You just don't have as many of them, which can make deciding what to do next a lot easier.

East coast train shows comparable to Timonium?

Over the last year I've attended the TImonium show a few times. Overall, I think it's pretty decent with a good mix of new, new old stock, some brass, clinics, etc. I may not be able to make it this October. For those of you that have attended Timonium, what shows do you consider to be comparable?

In particular, I am interested in shows that are about 3 hours driving centered on Washington, D.C., but for the sake of this thread, it might be nice to hear of any comparisons others might be interested in.

Carquinez MRR Train guys lose their collective minds.

A little late for April Fools Jokes but after looking at the video I shot from the March Show the East Coast represented well all morning.

Stephen Priest leaves ST

Scale Trains announced on FB that Stephen is going back to KC and has left the company. As long as he and family are ok that’s all he needs to worry about.

Carquinez Club Open House from the Eye in the Sky (Dispatchers room)

We'll we don't have the software fully integrated so I may as well use the office for something productive....

A New Month and another Glorious Open House

Our first shot is a brass Capitol Corridor at resting at Davis. Then a WP Bicentenial makes it way through. A BNSF intermodal and Union Pacific Oil head into Sacramento. Then a quick show of some BNSF modern light power in in the mountains and SP four axles into Oakland. Then a E unit Empire Builder and Canadian Steam meet in Richmond.

2019 RPM-East

The RPM-East prototype modeler meet kicked off tonight with operating sessions at a number of layouts around Pittsburgh. I operated on Roy Ward's HO scale West Virginia Central & Pittsburgh Railroad and had a great time.
