Signal Question

I have the Bachmann double track signal bridge kit from an old set. It does not fit over the width of my double track and I was looking for suggestions. I have two ideas.

The first one being: Cut off both "legs" and mount the leg in the center instead of the edges. (not sure if this is prototypical)

The second one being: Cut off one leg but not have it centered over each track, (also not sure if this is prototypical)

These are not my pictures and just for example.

MEASURE!

Why not modify it by adding to both ends with some black styrene (looks like part of a platform) to lengthen the bridge. Measure the width you need and add some to both ends to center the signals. Kitbashing is the way to go.

Now all I have to do is find

Now all I have to do is find some any recommended sources (also should I add more to the hand rail?)

get another one-

These are common with every Bachmann starter set. I would take two of them and put them together. Use one of the end wall struts to put in the middle for support.

That's what I would do also.

That's what I would do also.  Find another bridge, even if it's already put together, and splice them together.

Every swap meet I have ever gone to has these for sale cheap
