Computer requirements - unknown
Rick & Keith don't know what the hardware requirements will be yet - they're running unoptimized code with all the debugging goodies in it. What you're watching it on is a Quad-Core, with a very high-end graphics card and a bunch of RAM.
That's why when I asked the software requirements I mentioned that I knew he couldn't divulge the hardware - because I'd asked him about that previously.

Video plays fine
First, thank you for the FREE video. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated, and the interview was professionally done and the video is great quality. I look forward to watching the rest as they become available.
One quick question.....I am using Firefox for my browser, the video played fine. I was wondering if there is the ability to make the viewer larger. When I watch the video, it is in a window about 2" X 2" (estimate). I know enlarging the image, such as viewing videos on YouTube causes the quality to degrade.

Version 2 should be resizeable

We're releasing a version 2 of this video that is all one segment, is more compatible with more browsers and machine operating systems, and is resizeable!
So hang on ... we're getting there!
Glad you like the video ... and we're excited to release more of this content - for the most part it's all of this quality level. Like anything when you're shooting live footage in the field, there's a few glitches here and there. But for the most part, we're very pleased with the quality of this footage - and we're hoping you will be pleased as well.

While the video is resizeable ...
While the video is resizeable, making it larger doesn't add pixels. If you make the video larger, it will start to pixelate. You can, however, sit farther back from your computer screen and the video will look okay if you follow this simple rule:
If you double the size of the video, then sit twice as far away from your computer screen.
Train Sim II
As Train Sim II is based on the FSX platform I can tell you that you will most likely need a high end maschine.
With FS9 and PMDG 's 747-400 I got 65 70 FPS or higher and 45-50 FPS (frames per second) at high detail airports. With FSX it 's 30 FPS and down to 20 FPS at high detail airports. However the sim is perfectly flyable at these FPS 's.
Running AMD Quad with 4 Raptor HD 's, NVidia GTX-8800, and 4 GB Corsair memory. Dual Boot XP, Vista64, Samsung 20" monitor.
The Train Sim and Fastracks vidio 's ran fine using Firefox, they were re-sizable, looked real good full screen.
This is a great site and it 's just beginning. Nice job.

Fast Tracks vid
Joe and Jeff,
Nice job on the video. I just watched the Fast Tracks presentation with no problems. It was very informative and well done for a continuous shot interview. Jeff was quick on his feet to ask for the company web site.
The new Fast Tracks products look very interesting and may also have an application in designing small layouts or yards. My current design preference for tight areas or track-intensive areas is to use real components on-site, or on a full size mock-up. If somone is committing to the Fast Tracks system, then these new components will be great to use as layout design tools.
