A guy grows...
A guy grows a mustache and people don't recognize him. Who'd a thought that little change in one's shaving patterns would make that much of a difference?

He also isn't wearing a cap this year ... that probably makes more difference than the mustache, actually ...

I thought of that...
Joe, I did think of that but I didn't get to edit my post before you commented. Even so, if we didn't know better we would think you got a new guy to replace Jeff.

The Amazing Mustache
The interesting thing is that my no mustache period last year was pretty much the only time I hadn't had one since sometime in the late 1980s. I'm even growing a beard, but that will get shaved next week prior to Army Reserve Drill.
The hat is probably the big thing.... I should have known better than to wear one last year, I did know better than to wear one this year.
Hmmm. Wonder what I'll change for Milwaukee? If I'm lucky/work at it it'll be about 30lbs or more of lost weight.

30 lbs?
I've heard that the army (I don't have any personal experience as I had a college deferment in the 1960s and then a high draft number in the 1970s when I dropped the deferment) is good for losing weight but two weeks of reserve duty probably wouldn't get rid of that much weight. I can see maybe 5 or ten pounds. But then I don't believe that seargents get todo as much as privates but i could be wrong.
But I shouldn't talk. I could easily afford to lose about 60 pounds but I don't get around much these days unless you consider the several dozen trips up and down two flights of stairs I do everyday. It might sound like a lot but the proble is that there is a refridgerator in the middle of that arrangement that is very hard to ignore.
Of course joining the military is out of the question unless they get really hard up for 60 year old diabetics which I doubt very much.
