My first thought

Finally Fairbanks Morse gets recognition in MRH.

TrainMaster(s)

Very nice production.

The name is nearly the same as a Mod for Railroad Tycoon 3 made by Ned Fumpkin hosted over at Hawk & Badger Railroad Forum.

I think ol' Ned will not object.

I'm In!

This is the sort of thing I had been thinking about. Having done everything in front, and in back of the camera, I know how much work will go into something like this.
As long as the quality and content are there, I'll be willing to support it with my hard earned money.

No, Please. Anyone but Jerry Seinfeld.

How about Rod Stewart ?  Rod's magnificent layout was featured a couple of years back in an MRR mag.  When I went to buy the mag they were all gone. (my loss)

G.T.

Sorry, but I have absolutely no appreciation for Jerry Seinfeld's humour.

Good grief!. Where will I find time.....

...... for stupid little things like work?. Jose.

Pricing?

Any idea on pricing yet? What does a sandwich cost? :-) Are we talking $4.99 a month?

Competition for MR?

Sound like this will be in direct competition with MR Video Plus. Or will it have a different focus?

Different focus than MR Video Plus

TrainMasters-TV will have a different focus. MR video plus has as one of its key goals to promote the MR brand, so features a lot of MR staff hosting interviews and giving clinics - sort of "look at what MR can teach you about the hobby." If you like that approach, then by all means MR Video Plus is a good source for you.

TrainMasters-TV puts the guests at center stage and while we are an MRH branded video channel, we want you to benefit from the breadth and depth of the hobbyists at large in the hobby, and to hear from the vendors themselves as to their direction, how to use their products, and so on. For Vendors, we will profile their product line for you, or ask them to do a clinic with their products for you so you hear straight from them how to use their stuff well.

The goal of TrainMasters is doing the hobby and informing you about the hobby by bringing you those who are passionate about our hobby. MRH is always there and the MRH staff may show up now and then, but this is about the hobbyist and bringing you face-to-face with the movers and shakers in the hobby.

MRH does not want to be center stage, we believe your layout pursuits will be better served if we can bring you those who are taking the hobby to new places - so true to our name, the HOBBYIST is the center - bringing you those who are truly the TRAIN MASTERS of the hobby.

Now for the million dollar question...

Will it be a international venture? I'll gladly offer room and lodging if you can manage to get down under for an eventually "special" visit (holiday) to see whats going on down here.

Brilliant idea, and look forward to seeing it develop.

International?

If it does well, I can see us funding overseas expeditions with the TrainMasters video crew.

Also, to keep expenses down, we will also work with those who demonstrate a nack for doing video work and commissioning them to do TrainMasters-TV content following our special TMTV approach.
