Restarting the Shoshoni Valley RR

I've been playing with trains since I was 6 or 7, that was in the mid 50's. I switched over to building trains and layouts in the mid 60's when I switched over to N scale from HO. The Shoshoni Valley got it's start then with a 5x9 island layout in my bedroom. By the end of HS I had swapped again to HOn3. That lasted until I graduated HS and left home. I dabbled in HOn3 until shortly after I got married the 1st time and my now ex wife bought me a HO brass loco for Christmas instead of the HOn3 model I pointed out to her.

My late brother would be 59 years old today

What does that have to do with model railroading? Well not much but I was just reminded of a story about him that I may have shared on this forum before but I thought I'd share it again today.

Day 2, lets set some goals....

I've started to organize a list what I want to accomplish.....

To learn about the industry and railroads in my two hometowns, and how they influenced each other.

A personal component, to put my thoughts on virtual paper.

Sitting around and beginning a journey.....

So, its another cold Monday, and I decided to start to chronicle my railroading life.  This blog has no outright direction, perhaps it is more away to organize my thoughts.

I am making some decisions about my hobby, and need a outlet for my frustrations, my successes, and my stagnation!

Cornhill and Atherton - Cornhill Town

This will be the last scenery project on the C&A, but definitely not the last blog, because there is much to do once I have "finished" the railroad.
