Modeling general discussion

Presuming no one has given up model railroading for Lent and I have had 3 cups of strong black coffee already, lets get the show on the road.
Type of printer for making water side film decals?????
I was wanting to find a printer that would produce thin film decals.
Building a free lance RR and wanted to design and print many different thin film water slide decals for all the various applications.
Could use a push in the right direction for finding the best printer, inks and film decal stock for this endeavor if anyone can provide some ideas.
Thanks in advance for any help and brand suggestions, especially if they come with a vendor recommendation.
SCARM Designer
I have been using SCARM to design the new railroad and since I am still a good 6 months away from actually building it, I thought I would try my hand at using SCARM to design some structures. Wanted to start small so I have done 3 trailers that will go into Frog Hollow Trailer Park. I think they came out pretty nice.

Oh Crap
I was covering the molded "coal" in my two steam locos' tenders with HO scale lump coal for added visual impact. We discussed possible methods on the February MRH podcast and I went with the straight forward ballast glue approach. I use Titebond water proof glue merely because I have it on hand. It is a medium beige color but dries clear. Loco number 1 went smoothly so I set it aside to dry as it was time for bed.
3D Printer Files...
Is there any chance of having an area where we can post and share 3D printer files? I think it would be a great resource for modelers with 3D printers.
ME vs Peco
I'm sure there will be plenty of opinions on this but I wanted to hear from fellow modelers their thoughts on ME #6 Code 83 turnouts vs Peco # 6 Code 83 turnouts. From what I have read, both have spring loaded points, both are DCC friendly without any special wiring. Both have scale size ties and nice spike and tie plate detail. So what makes one better than the other? I did notice that ME #6's are about 10 bucks cheaper.
A Coupler Idea
Has anyone ever tried this as a coupler?
Instead of wire loops you could put a little bar with a hole drilled in it. The odd shaped wire that holds it together is so it does not fall off. However with a bar you could use a U shaped wire.
So i'm just wondering if someone has thought of it.
HELP!!!!!!!! My layout is being swallowed up by dust
I model a dry, dusty modern short line and I am very careful with the color palette keeping colors somewhat muted. Recently I've noticed that it is becoming markedly more muted to the point of losing too much of its color and I need to do something about it.

Blair Atholl towards Drumochter - Scotland
Hi Guys, having enjoyed seeing what you get up to on your side of the pond, I thought some of you might like to see a glimpse of what happens in Scotland.
Blair Atholl towards Drumochter is a 4mm to the foot UK 00 gauge model of the Perthshire village of Blair Atholl and the Highland Main line as it climbs towards Drumochter Summit which is the highest point on the UK rail network, 1484' above sea level.
