Detailed some scenes at Leckmelm

Today I wanted to plant some fence post to seperate the railway from the quarry.
But when finished with that task I had a look if I've got other stuff to place on the module.
First I placed the Peco crossing gates.
Next project was the fence on the platform of Leckmelm station.
I also livened up the goods yard, with some figures, a small office and some fence.
Then I placed a old cattle van at the edge of the garden of the station master. Now it
waits for some cattle. I also enlivened the quarry area.

N-Scale Train Run with Video Camera on Flat Car

I received a Polaroid Cube + camera for Father's Day. It is about a 1-1/4 inch cube video/still camera that can be controlled via wi-fi from my iPhone.  The app allows the phone to be the viewfinder and has buttons to control the actions of the camera while it is riding on the train. This is the first run around a portion of the layout so that I can get an idea how it works. It is mounted on a depressed center flat car in front of a BLI 4-8-2 engine.

TEMS the Breaks.

It’s been a good ten months since I’ve done anything model railroad related.  My daughter was born in September and my boy just turned two in March.  Needless to say, domestic bliss has pushed everything else to the back burner.  But now things are normalizing, sleep is becoming more and more consistent, and I’m starting to shake off the rust that my hobby life has accumulated.

June 22 Update

Trees came from SE today so worked on the layout this week to get ready for them. Did the major scenery work from Geldermans toward the the mountain, fences, flowers, trees, bushes, etc. Planted about 200 trees on the hill tonight, WOW a lot of trees, will finish up all the extraneous tuffs, bushes, etc I hope this week. Still have the foreground to do, part of an apple orchard, fence & horses from the old layout will move here.

My Layout - Introduction

Hello Everybody,

I am a subscriber to Trainmasters.tv and have been reading MRH for some time.

I am based in England and currently building a small exhibition layout based on colliery railway operations.

It is named after a prominent mined coal seam in the area modelled, which is Cumbria. The layout is called 'Six Quarters'

Here are some photos of the progress so far

The Golden Spike is in

The Golden Spike is in.

After much sweat and some blood and about 5 or 6 years the main line is in end to end. The RR fills about 750 sq. ft.

This is the plan that I have been working with. It is a NKP RR from Frankfort Ind to Kokomo and the Indianapolis Division (IMC) as it comes into Kokomo from the south and crosses the Cloverleaf.
