Modeling topic
Clips of some high-rollers in LA and a train on the Seattle coast.
I was at the Pershing Square Station on the Purple Line 8 pm June 2, 2017 (Los Angeles CA) High-rollers were delivering some cable reels to the extending line under construction. I started to video one that came by. The ‘Dyna-electric truck stopped as one of the clips holding one of the reels slipped out of its inset. I tried to show some of the hardware they were using. Thought someone might want to model some of this-

Hi guys, here is my first attempt at my soon to be built track plan. Please feel free to give constructive criticism and suggestions.
My main concern is I have to many tracks and that I have not left enough room for scenery, roads etc at the industry section.
SP over Cornelius Pass
Hi Guys, I am located in Australia and am researching locations for my soon to be started HO scale model RR.
I was originally going to model the Cascade line from Eugene to Clamath Falls. But I am unable to steal the garage for my layout. Therefore I am relegated to a small spare bedroom. I don't feel I could do the Cascade line justice in 70 Ft so I have swapped over to Cornelius Pass.

Southeast Coal (SECX) Scale test car
Looking for any information on this car. The car is a scale test car owned by Southeast Coal company that operating between Hazard, KY and Irvine, KY. I think it is a 10,000 tank car, but the dome looks larger then normal. I'm looking to model this car in HO scale so what manufacture would have a close match. Thanks for any help.

Trackwork
Has anyone kitbashed a Central Valley through girder bridge into a skewed girder bridge? The abutments are angled and the ends of the girders are not perpendicular to each other. Through truss bridges are often skewed as well. I was recently exploring the George's Creek RR of the former Western Maryland (formerly Cumberland & Pennsylvania RR.) There are many crossings of George's Creek on skewed girder bridges.

Foam Core Project Box for a Fast Clock
I recently got a fast clock repeater for my NCE DCC system, but it was basically just a PCB and faceplate, intended to be mounted on/in the fascia. But I wanted it as a desk clock on my Agent/Operator's desk and the Radio Shack project box for which the clock was designed is no longer available. No problem - I just made one out of foam core and it came out pretty nice, IMO.

Brother Scanncut for modelling vegetation
This week's video is looking at a useful tool for cutting out vegetation but when you start thinking about other uses, the sky's the limit!

siskiyou - Water Cars!
Joe, Monday coming back to Sonoma from Port Townsend, I stopped for the night at the Travelodge, walked over a few blocks and had dinner at the Roseburg Depot. Sat by the window and to my surprise there on the spur were two water cars! I looked down the siding, and there were two more! That was all the dessert I needed!
