Retail N Scale structures - not to scale???

So I have been looking on eBay and considering whether to buy there or from the retail sites any structure kits or pre-built structures.  I am modelling in N scale.

Yes, You Can Build Models

The Armchair just got a turbo.  Procrastination be damned, full speed ahead!  Here in Yuma, Arizona, summer is when we don't get out too much and I am excited to announce a new endeavor for me, producing on-line model kits with complete step by step instructions using full size templates to fabricate required details.  I will be needing some Beta test builders in the next weeks so keep an eye on the blog for frequent updates.

Engine terminal redo.

Started redoing my engine terminal. First thing was to build a sanding rack. Still has to be painted, decal and weathered. Next is to redo the coaling tower and find a more modern water tower.

CGI downloads--How does this work?

In a recent post about asphalt roads, one of the replies talked about CGI images and referenced this website http://www.cgtextures.com/textures.php?t=browse&q=1939 I love the area of rust! Excellent way to make some rolling stock rusty. I'm sure to many of you this may be as easy and obvious as breathing air, but I'd love to know how this works!

Adhesives

While looking through a back issue of MR (July 1988, I think), I came across an article about different types of adhesives, and it included a great chart of the different types of adhesives and their usage vis-a-vis different types of surfaces, slow vs fast setting, smooth vs porous surfaces, holding ability and some of the brand names.  Has anyone seen an updated version of this chart, or one which is similar?

I also found a reference to a similar article in the April 96 MR, but I don't have that issue.

Some finishing touches to existing L&T Structures...

Well today I decided to start finishing off some of the structures that are just about completed on the L&T Branch.

First project was to install and paint the awning that sits over the loading dock of the storage warehouse.
