‘The World of Tomorrow’ - Scenes From the 1939 New York World’s Fair

Some of the scenery creation in these photos is incredible for the time (1939), and very interesting to see 75 years later.

Thanks Tom Johnson

Tom's layout will be in the next MRH. Tom was nice enough to share some of his road pictures with me and we used one at MSMRC. In this video at 6:30 mark you will see the picture in use at MSMRC.

Commercially Available Chemical Totes or IBCs

Does any one know a company that produces HO scale totes (or IBCs in European terms), which are commonly used in chemical plants.  Looking for a source so that I can add this level of detail to my chemical plant. Have lots of drums or barrels but looking for totes. Probably easy to produce if only I had a 3D printer.

Suydam Kit #522 Diesel House Instructions

I've recently acquired an old Suydam kit, #522 Diesel House, which is missing the instructions. Does anyone know where I might obtain a copy? I could probably figure it out, but the instructions would be useful. Thanks in advance.

Oops! - Another interesting scene to model

Messed up your Crossing Signal Towers? No worries, you can still use them!

By the looks of the tracks in the ditch on Friday, some poor truck driver ran down this signal bridge. The truck is long gone, but the tracks indicate a large excavator was used in the recovery.

Not unlike the like the BNSF Signal Upgrade, we'll call this "a scene you can model".

Weathering Chalk - Do it Yourself?

Is it possible to make your own weathering chalks/powders? I want to try and weather some rockfaces instead of dry brushing them, but did not want to spend over $20.00 for chalk/powders. Thanks!

Source of N Scale Chain Link Fencing Material

I have been searching for some time for a suitable material to make N scale chain link fencing and came across this product the other day whilst browsing through a Spotlight store (the NZ equivalent of Michaels I guess).

Being 10.5mm wide, it is almost a perfect 6 N scale feet (actually 5.5ft).

The photos show it before being painted and the spool of ribbon in case anyone wishes to search for it.
