Surroundtraxx Response to Dave B
I have had my Surroundtraxx operational for some time now. Being an N Scaler, I am pleased and excited with the addition to my layout. Not everyone flavors sound but I do. It adds to the depth of operating and for me, adds to the realism of running my trains. It provides each locomotive with its own character.

New England Photo Backdrops
In my modeling Southern Vermont in late fall after the leaves have fallen, and the fact that I live in Montana now, I am faced with a problem. I cannot simply walk outside and start shooting photo backdrops for my Vermont Railway - North Bennington Division layout. Being a photographer myself, this is something that is driving me nuts!

MRH Forums
One of the problems with 'Corporate sponsored forums' is the flow of information is controlled (censured) by the 'corporation' that owns the web site. Well, it IS their bat, their ball, and their playing field. Praise and support for the company and their product is encouraged while criticism often results in a locked thread (hiding the warts).

Drawing a track plan
Good evening all,
How would I make up a track play of my layout? I see some that are posted and feel it would be a great addition to include one in my operating handouts.
Thanks

Experiments to derail trains
December issue of MRH Mag. This video shows how to derail a train...succsess after several trys. I would say in HO a gap of 1/2 inch should not be a problem. Just my guess. Anyway interesting video.
