Keep Alive in BLI SW7 with SQI decoder

I have installed KA3 KEep Alive circuits from TCS in several BLI SW7s. These are older models and the QSI circuit board is marked (c) 2003 QSI Quantum.

OLED Display with JMRI

Hello,
I'm running JMRI with DCC++ and two Ardunios. One for the Train Track and the other one for Sensors, turnouts and diverse outputs.
All is running very well and I control the Trains only on the Windows Machine, where JMRI is running on one Panel (see Link for Picture).
My question is: Is here a possibility to give some Messages from the Memories Table parallel to an extern Oled Display which can connected
from the Serial2 Interface from the Arduino Mega.
Maybe someone has realized it already and can give me some input.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Flexible Wire

I have a Rapido Angus Van and it's performance is hideous. It derailed going around a 22" radius curve. My research indicates that it is due to the inability for the truck to rotate. I have clipped off some detail but it is further hindered by the electrical pickup system. A fellow showed me how to mitigate this by making a modification but I'm still not happy so I removed all pickup and it works great. I'd like to try to get it to work with more flexible wire either 30 or 32 gauge.

NCE - MRC Controller Compatability

Hi,

I currently have a NCE #5240025 (Power Cab) DCC Starter Set.  I am looking to get a second controller and have a line on this one.  MRC1415 Prodigy Advance Squared DCC walkaround handheld controller throttle #323475558544.

Does anyone have any experience with these?  Would the MRC controller work with my little NCE Starter set to use as a second controller?

Thanks for any help,
Denis.

feeders to fast tracks turnouts

I almost hijacked the peco insulfrog thread but at the last minute decided to start a separate one.

Thanks JoeF for providing some great reference info in the other thread on soldering feeder wires to peco turnouts. I'm basically asking the same question here but for people building fast tracks turnouts - how many feeders does everyone solder to the turnout?

I'm just Curious - Raspberry Pi

How many other folks out there have hooked up a Raspberry Pi  to their layout?  I went from an NCE PowerCab to a Pi-Sprog and am really enjoying it.  I am using an old iPhone, that I got from one of my kids, as a dedicated throttle.  My favorite part is being able to stand across the room, watching my train, and still having control.

Dreamplayer

I am thinking of adding background sound to a section of my layout. Has anyone used the Pricom Dreamplayer and what are your result and experience? I like the LTE version but am wondering if the trigger can be produced by Digitrax block detection. In other words the player would only start a track if the block becomes occupied?

Prof K I see that your listed in the credits on this product. Do you have input on it?

Peco Insulfrog Turnouts

I have decided to use Peco Insulfrogs on my new layout due to simplicity however based on my research the consensus is to use Electro frogs.   So many conflicting opinions.  Am I going to regret this decision?

Tortoise switch machine installation

I once read an article on increasing the throw wire diameter on a tortoise switch machine. The article stated by increasing the diameter that better results would be obtain during operation because the wire is more rigid. My problem is that I don’t recall where I read it. Any help in finding this article would be appreciated.
