Ring Engineering's RailPro

Questions about Ring Engineering's RailPro system.

I have looked at their website and viewed a few of the videos, but all I see is modern diesel and a single flat board shape.

Since I model in 1930's to 1940's steam, I am interested to know if they have steam sounds?

Solving circuits in analogue

I have attempted to create a video that explains visually how we solved a wiring challenge using an analogue circuit. We went with analogue to keep costs down and learn some basics. I thought I'd share.

DCC wiring is easy!

DCC is easy.  Messy, but easy.  Or maybe not.    And I have not yet added sound.  Gaah!

12V supply OK for DCC HO scale?

Is 12 V enough for DCC track voltage,HO scale, 3 or 4 engines, with 20A available? Must I go to 15V?

Remove Bachmann "light board"?

Is it preferable to bypass the Bachmann factory "light board" if you replace the incandescent bulbs with LEDs?

This is my first installation of DCC, a simple Digitrax. I understand the instructions and schematics. Is there any benefit to DCC by keeping the factory "light board"?

How do you strip tiny AWG30 wires?

I need to strip the tiny AWG 30 wires before soldering them.  How do you strip wires thinner than the insulation.

Hello,

Dcc Help!,,

Help!!! I am relatively new to dcc I have a NCE Power Cab and am running an Atlas Ho Alco S2 #4. I have recently joined the NMRA BR in old Blighty. I have started going to my regions group where they run on a digitrax system.

Digitrax problem

Unable to contact with my locos. I have a DT402 and a UT4. DB150 shows all correct indicators- power on. track status ok. I have a dedicated programming section. Loco shows headlight on. DT402 shows smoking chimney when loco is selected BUT no response to throttle command. Plug in UT4 and it indicates that loco is selected but no response to throttle. What can I do to solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

I need HELP!!!

I have started to wire my layout with 2 WYES creating loops as shown in the attached diagram. My confusion is:  it was recommended to me via a recent post that my AR1's be placed where the purple circles are. In addition this is where the rail gapping should be made also.

What I'm confused at is in the Green circles is where the Red and Black wires a actually reversing. So my question is. should that not be where I gap the rails and locate the AR1's???
