Track and electrical/DCC

DCC by radio to N and H0 trains

A company in Denmark called GamesOnTrack has just announced a new decoder that allows DCC by radio and at 29x11x4 mm it will fit in HO and N locos.  It is part of their GT-Position system and will be demonstrated at the next Nuremburg Toy Fair in February.  Here is a quick overview of the entire system from my understanding as it relates to trains, cars and quad copters.

Alexander Scale Models turnout throws

Yes I know these are old and quite ugly, but they work!  Hard to find so I was thinking about fabricating my own.  I know I read an article back in MR some time back on how to do this but have been unsuccessful in researching it on the web.  I don't believe it would be all that difficult using brass tubing and such but I little advice from anybody is welcome.

Anyways, here is a close up of these ground throws.

Toggle Switch/Push Buttons for NCE Button Board

Looking at using the NCE Switch 8 Mk2 and the button board. What kind of toggle switch have you found to work best and/or what kind of push button have you used?

Supplying Power to a Rotating Object

Good day, all - I have been experimenting with a wireless method of supplying power to a rotating object. Things like illuminated, rotating signs, turntables, and other kinetic devices sometimes need power. Traditionally we use slip rings and brushes or similar contacts.
These can be troublesome and hard to maintain.

I have come up with a way to use the circuitry that is employed to wirelessly charge a cell phone to supply several watts of DC power to a rotating device.

I have posted details (including a video) here:

Bi-color LEDS

I am going to use red/green bi-color LEDs for short-circuit indication for a reverse loop. Using track voltage and 20 ma, I need 560 ohms at 1/4 watts. Do I need to divide the resistance and put half on each leg of the led?

Locomotive with faulty pickups

Hello.

Have just installed a new Peco electrofrog turnout and it´s wired for DCC and the frog is powered with a frog juicer. My problem is that when I run my 0-6-0 steam locomotive it hesitates on the turnout.Have cleaned rails and wheels with no result.

Need help

It's been ages since I wire up a layout. I got an idea how to create DC blocks on this, but would much appreciate any help in regards to where to put the electrical insulating gaps.

So far I think I should separate the runaround track into two blocks between the turnouts. The right side including half of the crossover
