I haven’t seen this thread for a while so thought I’d kick it off with my passenger car bash to make a 49’ Second Class Car:

If it helps you there is a DQ that looks almost exactly like this one in Port Colborne, Ontario (Niagara Region) that is still in seasonal operation. They want to fix their neon sign but Coroporate has told them if the sign has to come down to fix they cannot keep it on their location and have to modernize it. So for them it’s a catch 22.
I bought one of these kits just yesterday because they were on sale for $29.99 CDN from $41.99.

Chalky White's Pool Hall
Currently working on Chalky White's Pool Hall in HO, from Bar Mills. I missed out on the Cundy Village special edition kit, and a recent appearance on eBay went for way more than I could afford, so I'm buying and building it single kit by single kit.
A fun build so far, even though the self-adhesive shingles gave me trouble in removing them from the backing sheet. The instructions cautioned against too much paint, so that fault is mine. I learned my lesson, and next time will use just a primer coat and save the actual shingle coloring for after they are installed.

but I just cleared 6 atlas n scale tank cars (1@ 17,300 ga, 2@ 20,500ga and 3 @ 33,000ga) off the workbench and back into service. I bought them off a friend who was switching scales and had them out for pre-ops inspection for metal wheels and knuckle couplers. My friend was way ahead of me and only two of them needed metal wheels to replace the plastic ones.

Finished Dairy Queen
I finished up the Vintage Dairy Queen today. I opted to go for a gravel roof and I think it turned out ok. I had to make my own decals of the posters for the windows as the kit did not come with any. I also put some score lines and cracks with some weeds growing in the base. Lastly I added a few of my leftover figures from China for extra detail.
