In my travels, I find the most interesting tips and techniques I pick up are found in the hobbies that closely resemble our own. Really, even within Model Railroading the range of interests are so wide and varied that it is almost a crime to overlook a similar hobby, just because it lacks a train model.

In today's interview, we travel to Turkey to meet a miniature toolsmith. I introduce to you Ibrahim Kacar.

Thanks WF. It is a real pleasure to be able to experience these modelers and their culture if even in the smallest way. I find that the communities that I seek out end up improving my view of the world and my hobby.

My old roommate was a military miniatures modeler, and he had a LOT of ideas for me when I was weathering my first car that I never even thought of... it's amazing the ideas we can get from other types of modelers, as well as model railroad hobbyists...
