On schedule and as promised to myself, the Greater Nickel Plate rode the High Iron today. Not a production video but thanks to my wife, Peggy, and her patience with me the railroad lives! Now to fine tune the track, cars and engines so that everything runs smoothly.

The East End of the railroad is wired except for two sidings (Valley Lumber and City Coal) which require that other construction be completed first. The High Level bridge across the Cuyahoga River and the West End are slated for construction in January.

Lots of scenery to be done, but now I can take my time and detail small areas to the "Nth" degree at my leisure during cold winter months instead of shoveling snow - LOL!

David.  It is a great

David.

It is a great feeling when something is running for the first time. You may have issues with the elevation going into the double slip switch. I would move the slope further from the switch. One small bit of advice is to allow the layout to go through an expansion and contraction cycle before ballasting and scenery close to the track work.
