Joe announced and demonstrated the unique new MRH mediazine at the NMRA National in Anaheim this last July. The quarterly magazine, to debut January 2009, is completely free to modelers since it's totally sponsored by hobby vendors.

I have finally begun laying track on the first section of my layout. I am using CV tie strips, and as of now they are all glued down and painted. Progress is Nice! The rail should be here monday according to the UPS tracking#. Then I can finally get trains running even if it's only back and forth six feet.

Atlas October HO Announcement

Atlas Model Railroad Co. has announced new roadnumbers and paint jobs for their HO Scale Fairbanks-Morse H15-44/16-44 model.
This model comes in several cab, body and handrail combinations with undecorated models available for each combination. Expected availablity is in April of 2009 and the retail price is $169.95. The models come equipped with a 4-function DCC decoder which will also operate with DC systems.
