In need of help
I have done 15 short videos of the layout and wish to share them on this blog. We are having great difficulty with the transfer process. If there is anyone out there that can help us we are greatly in need.
Pictures of the layout
Two attachments provide some pictures of the layout. The first attachment has a lumber yard in Barton, a boarding house in a to be named town on the Conn River Line, and a couple of shots of the engine facility at the North end of Newport, Vt.
The second attachment is all of the lower level of Cambridge Jct. While not prototypical in track arrangement it represents the Central Vermont line from Essex Jct. to Cambridge Jct. The Shared Trackage/Conn River Line is carried over the state highway on the through truss bridge.
Seperated routes of 2 lines modelled.
Here are two separated routes run by the rr's. The two are physically separate from the diamond crossing in St J to the turnout on the duck under (may not be shown). From that point onward the shared trackage arrangement could be extended all the way to a side yard functioning as St Albans in the WRJ yard. If extended to that length it allows the St J to operate in the prototypical scheme of Morrisville turns/crew swaps. The connection is a entry to the CV's Richford Branch at Sheldon Jct. There are options to consider.
Conn River and St J & LV Diagrams
Hopefully I got the diagrams to stick.
Significant change over the years.
I have settled to a great degree on the many changes I've made over the years. A fellow in the group has build a White River Junction Union Station which serves to anchor my layout on the Conn River line. The layout, which I will post a diagram of now represents the Conn River line from White River Jct. to Newport Vt. The run is approx. 250 ft. WRJ to Newport as a modelled section. The two yards are connect also through a 40 ft.
Eastbound on the St J and LV with all leased power
The video and related entries are no longer representative of the present state of the layout. Many changes have occurred since. Seen much more recent entries/diagrams to get a sense of the layout's arrangement. We usually limit the number of cars to 24-28 but cn do longer trains if a helper arrangement is used. I'll see what I can do for a fresh video.
