Woops

Evening....

Here are 5 photos of the section right by the wood stove.

In Lieu of videos

Evening....

Here are 5 photos of the section right by the wood stove.

An attempt to show some video

Attached is a possibly more useful layout diagram.  The red line indicates the trip the video effort follows starting in the laundry room.  But the videos are trapped currently in the Tablet and transfer is not yet complete.  I thought I should send this type of diagram out since I'll be using it as I compose other videos.  Sorry for the shaking and blurring.  I'll get better with practice...

A flexible track plan

Attached are two diagrams of the layout outlining the changes made.  90% of the mainline remains the same, but the removal of the diamond crossing just off the duck under combined with the turnout arrangement also illustrated has a big impact.  This arrangement allows me to run the St J & LV as a continuous run loop, the Conn River line separate from the St J & LV, and also combine the two railroads in order to gain the longest length.

A unifying change

During our last session here one fellow decided to run on the St J and LV line.  This line has recently been put in operational shape with some cleanup to continue.  He ran the line with a small steamer and then asked how he could run on the rest of the layout.  At that time the only option was to transfer the entire train my hand.

Continuous run loop direct to St J

I have found a solution for the West end of the St J and LV that returns things to a continuous run loop on the Laundry room side of the layout.  A diagram is attached.  The switchback and stub ended siding on the duck under allows for work out of Morrisville.  The at grade crossing allows the yard in St Johnsbury to be used as both ends of the rr.

But there is Hope....

Sorry for the delay but there is Hope.  A fellow in your group does stuff like this and has taken a CD for doing the final steps.  Hope to put something out there.  Once there is a reasonable video of the Conn River Line...I'll start working on a tour of the St J and LV.

The St J is currently truncated just west of Morrisville.  I have not yet solved the electrical intricacies of putting a turnout in to one of the mainlines that run through the relevant section....which would allow access to a plausible west end.

Location Sequence for video

We are still working on accessing the video/doing it over with a Tablet/replacing a bad cable...etc.
