The download does not work? I get 0 bytes, and a time out! The only file that I can download is the instructions! I see the connection start then stop!
Drop box and it's clones are handy for large files. Download to your PC.. Put in Dropbox..then use drop box on the tablet to transfer it to a reading app if the one built in to drop box doesn't suit.
But it does eventually show in browser, then I tap to get "open in iBooks" option. That saves it to iBooks shelf. Worked for me since start. I have retina iPad (the one before iPad Air). I have latest iOS.
