Sponsor that sells CVT Ties?

I need to buy some #5 CVT turnouts.  I can order them from my LHS, or even drive over to Walthers and pick them up.  Are there any other sponsors that sell them, I'd like to reward them for keeping MRH Forever Free.   :)

Thanks,

Ryan

Adding to the Model RR lexicon

Many, many years ago, Model Railroader (I think it was MR, or a predecessor) made up a new term to describe the object that we want to model.  They called it the prototype, which until then had meant something different.  If you look at the definition, it's kind of funny (to me, anyway) to think of a $1.5 million locomotive being a "prototype" for a $100 model.  Still, it's a good term and it works and it's become ubiquitous.

The Last Whistle Stop

Hi, Jack from Star, Idaho.  I guess we are all on the same train when we must realize that it's time to pass the controls to a new engineer.  As I have mentioned in previous posts I have MS and I have reached the point that things are getting difficult to do and with much thought and sorrow I have to say that I have reached the end of the line.  I need some advise on the best way to sell my layout.  Every thing I have is Ho scale and in really excellent condition.  I have everything from steam to diesel most with decoders and sound.  In addition,

Take a Model Train to Work Day

So tomorrow is "Take a Model Train to Work Day," as decreed by the folks at World's Greatest Hobby. Do you have any plans of taking a train to work, and if so, what and how?

Easy Model Railroad Inventory Clinic

Will be giving a clinic on Easy Model Railroad Inventory this Saturday at the Virginia Beach Library hosted by the NMRA Tidewater Division.

A little nervous, when I started to prepare I really didn't know where to start. so I printed the user manual thinking the table of contents would be a good outline.

The manual is 191 pages long. I think I will focus on the basic functions used in all areas of the program. Then I will let the Q & A drill down to the details.

layout plans

here is a diagram of my layout. also one pic of the short end. total footage is 26.5 and I have a question. will one power pack run this layout or how do I hook two of them together to have enough power for the engines? thanks in advance. also as you can see in the pic i've added another line

Resaerching the forum

Hello!

I recently started a blog/website (http://h0traindepot.com/) dedicated to H0 railroad modeling. I'm preparing a post about various discussion forums about H0 train models. I decided, that the best route would be to actually register and say "hello" on each forum I plan to write about - I guess it's obvious, but still I'm outlining my motivations.

So - HELLO, I'm new here :)

That said, I'm curious...
