Nov issue release now Wed Oct 31

For lots of reasons, the likely release of the Nov issue of MRH and Running Extra is now Wed Oct 31.

Not only is doing two magazines more work this time because we have to kick off something entirely new (will be easier next time when we can just copy all the new stuff and change a few dates), but the last two weeks have been an emotional roller coaster for our family.

Is the new magazine out yet?

All I am able to download from the new magazine is the welcome aboard page. Is the issue out yet or are there delays at this time. I thought the last expected date I am aware of was yesterday, and I can not find it anywhere. When I go to the link page it just downloads the welcome aboard page. I am on a MAC and using fire fox as a browser.

Introducing the new MRH Running Extra magazine

We're spinning off a new paid magazine we're now calling MRH Running Extra. We have a lot of great articles in our backlog, so Running Extra brings you another ~150 pages of model railroading articles beyond what's in MRH. It also includes all the free MRH content in the back, so you conveniently need only one magazine because Running Extra gives you both.

Premium edition: technical question

Hi Joe,

Really looking forward to the premium edition. One quick question: I know in the past you’ve expressed a preference to avoid digital rights management. Will the premium edition be a straight PDF doc, or will there be any restrictions? I promise your intellectual property is safe with me; I just like to digitally “clip” articles and file them, and that gets tricky when there’s DRM or a proprietary format. Thanks, and congrats on the launch!
