Looking for ideas,..graphics, etc....

In the corner of my steel mill scene I have my mainline tracks making a large radius curves behind the mill sructures. Naturally I want to hide the mainline trains from the mill components. The blast furnace (to the left) will have a large mirror behind it hiding those mainline trains, ...and making it look like 2 blast furnaces and 2 highline tracks in a row.

Can anyone give me the distance for the space between the broken white line that is found (The middle line) on an O scale roadway?

There is a modeler in England - Paul Owens - who developed a method for modeling gunk between the tracks in engine terminals and yards. I've spent the past few months experimenting on scrap pieces of track to replicate his techniques. Here's how my latest test worked out. I've described the work on each step in the photo captions.

Read somewhere that wire coat hangers work great to make foam cutting wire loops and shapes to use with a trigger soldering gun if you remove the outer layer of coating and paint. Tain't so. Don't ever waste your time. Or your wire coat hangers. Save them for when you lock your keys in your truck.

Cross buck bases

Hi Guys, Do any of you have ideas for mounting flashing cross bucks on a concrete (plastic) base or where to buy them?

I've gone through my scrap stuff and some other pieces but nothing resembles what I'm trying achieve.

How wide is pinstripe for O scale?

I want to lay down some pinstripe for my Road for an O scale layout. How wide is the pinstriping for this particular layout if I have to buy it from an auto parts store?
