Track and electrical/DCC

N scale Wiring Requirements (what Guage of wire??)
Well, I am almost at the wiring stage with my N-scale layout. This is what I plan to do:
I am running DCC. I plan to have a bus line that is connected to a terminal strip which then serves a number of feeder wires in a block ( I am dividing the layout into blocks to accomodate detection and short circuit trouble shooting).
So this is what I am wondering....
What guage should the bus be?
What gauge should the wire be that connects the bus to a terminal strip?
What guage should the track feeders be?
Digitrax
In the manual for Digitrax's PR3 sound programmer there is mentioned something called "MS100 mode". What does this refer to?

DCC choices
This comment may spark an overwhelming response, but here it goes anyway. As I stated earlier, I am in the building stages of the new layout. The all important piece to the puzzle is this: I know I want to spend more time above the benchwork rather than below. For that purpose I have decided on DCC rather than traditional wiring as in past layouts. DCC, from what I have read, offers a more realistic approach to "running trains". But, and here's the question, which brand offers the BEST reliability for a "beginner"?

Micro Engineering Code 83 track
Can someone please HELP me? I am sorry if this question was asked before, but I am new to the website and I am having a problem. I purchased some HO Scale Micro Engineering Code 83 "flex" track at a train show to use on my layout. I say "flex" track because it's anything but flex track. I was used to the Atlas flex track where all you had to do to shape it was literally blow on it. But I cant seem to shape this track at all. It seems as if I am going to snap the ties off. Maybe because the track was pre-weathered?
Will they talk to each other?
Hi to all, I'm new here. A quick intro. My name is Robert, I live in Kansas. A Santa Fe and Rock Island Modeler.
Myself and a few friends are talking about starting a Free-mo group. Here's the hitch, we all run North Coast and all Free-mo groups run Digitrax as a standard. I'm no electrical engineer so I'm wondering about the following.
1. Can the two systems talk to each other?
2. Is the track wiring the same?

O Scale standard gauge 2 rail track
Group,
I need to get some flex track and a few switches for the O standard gauge connection addition to my On30 layout. Does anyone have experience with Old Pullman in code 100 or 125? How about Micro Engineering code 125? Where can these be purchesed? I have found ME code 148 track but only can find code 125 rail. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Peter

SD-35 Sound Decoder Question.
Hey everyone!..Just bought a Wisconsin Central Atlas Master Series SD-35 that came equiped with a Atlas Master DCC decoder without sound. Does anyone have a good decoder they could recommend that i buy in order to put prototypical SD-35 sounds in this loco? The loco runs fine but i'll have to change a few speed settings in order to consist it with my Atlas Master Gold series loco's in a consist. Thanks alot!! Ricky'
computer to Easy Dcc
I'm trying to figure out how to hook up My Easy Dcc to My Dell E510 computer. I don't have any of the ports shown in the CVP's manual available. The only ports I have are 2- 4pin telephone type ports & 2 ieee 1394 ports on the back. I have usb ports on the front as well. Am I going to have to have a db 9 or db 25 port installed by the computer shop here in town or what ? The Easy Dcc has the latest e chip installed & I would like to hook it up to the dell as Joe has Me sold on the decoder pro program. This is a neat setup.
