How do I Add a mask to a model train video.
I have recently started taking videos from a small camera mounted on a carriage on my HO layout. Although the footage looks good, the view of the ceiling, and peripheral scenery distracts the view.
What I would like to do is frame the train video with the inside view of the loco, ( either steam or diesel ). The end result would look as if you are looking from the inside of the cabin of the loco through the front windscreen.

Cell Phone Stand
Someone posted about making a cell phone support, a while back, and the idea stuck in my mind. Yesterday, I decided to make one for taking pictures and videos on the layout.
I started with a scrap piece of plywood about 2.5 inches wide and slightly longer than my phone. I ran down to my local ACE Hardware and picked up a 1/4 inch dowel and a 1/4X20 t-nut (total cost $2.00). I cut 4-inch sections of dowel to support the phone.
Whole layout paint scheme : modelling "Kodachrome"?
Dear MRHers,
Was musing to myself about the history of proto RR photography, and the early colour-photo era. The use of "Kodachrome" film brought a very definite colour reproduction and impression to many railfans, and by-extension to modellers.
Knowing as we do that Kodachrome had a distinct "look" (whether that was accurate when compared to a Mk1 eyeball of a human standing trackside is an acknowledged variable),

Working on the video tutorial for next Friday
Hi! I´m filming last parts of the tutorial next friday. It´s the Oaxen Frakt company goods shed in the harbour. It´s doomed with the next storm! :D Well.. It will take a while before it happens in my basement.
