37th National Narrow Gauge Convention Aug. 30th - Sept. 2nd, 2017 Denver, Colorado
Wondering how many people on MRH are going to the 37th National Narrow Gauge Convention in Denver?
It looks like it is going to be a great convention. Lots of good clinics, layout tours and friends.

MRH Wanted: Denver modeler to help with NG Convention
Any Denver area modelers out there who could help MRH with the Denver Narrrow Gauge Convention the end of the month?
We don't need much, just some transportation to / from the airport and someone who would like to provide wheels during the layout tours. We would like to avoid renting a car.
We'll pay your registration to the NG Convention in return for the assist. We'll also throw in an official MRH golf shirt. Plus, we'd appreciate the company on the layout tours!
2017 National Train Show - Day 3
Okay, I'm not done with Day 2 yet, but I want to get a head start on Day 3.
To the person who asked about Athearn using the SD60E body as a basis for standard cab locomotives (sorry, I couldn't find your post), the Athearn rep reports that that is the intention, but they have to check out a few things first.
It's Sunday at the National Train Show.... anecdotally, dealers are reporting they had a pretty good day yesterday.

2017 National Train Show - Day 1
The 2017 National Train Show got underway this morning at 9am in the Orange County Convention Center, just across the road from the Rosen Plaza Hotel, site of the 2017 NMRA Convention.
2017 NMRA Convention - Day 5
I'm getting Day 5 started early, since today, for the vendors at least, the National Train Show begins. We'll be heading over to the Orange County Convention Center for a "First Look" at where we'll be sort of living until Sunday evening.
From what I was told, someone made a good decision in having the modular layouts start coming in yesterday, giving them more time to get set up and debugged, as well as cutting down (hopefully) on the traffic crush that always occurs during load-in.
2017 NMRA Convention - Day 4
Day 4.... time keeps slipping away, and in this case, tomorrow will be the start of National Train Show prep. It seems the week has hardly started, and yet it's already showing signs of drawing to a close.
No Celebration Room photos today - it was closed for judging.
MRH's Jeff Shultz at the 2017 NMRA Convention in Orlando, FL
MRH's Jeff Shultz is reporting all week on the 2017 NMRA Convention in Orlando, FL. Here are links to the threads by day:
2017 NMRA Convention - Day 3
Day 3 - I woke up to a bleeping (in both senses of the word) alarm clock at 7:30am, got through my morning routine and climbed on my computer. You saw the results in the second part of my Day 2 post. Heading downstairs, I realized that I had missed the one clinic I had planned to attend this morning. Instead I spent it going over the Op Session photos with Bruce Notman and Bruce Metcalf, as we tried to figure out the names of some of the people in them.
