Changes

Chuck Geiger's picture

Wow been a whirlwind few weeks. I was downsized at work and paid off through the end of the year. Looks like I'm moving from Fresno, CA to South Bend, IN - Sometime in mid-November. My wife is staying behind for work and family reasons. I am taking down my layout - Moving it with me, along with workbench and totes full of my gear. Renting a studio apartment and will get some serious modeling doen during the long cold winter. I saw South Bend has a couple of hobby shops and two clubs. I will be reporting on the move towards mid-November. My new job is awesome and much better than my last, so I am happy - Tough times to be unemployed.

Sorry for the old, Congrats on the new

WOW - sorry you lost your old job, but glad you found a new and better one.  At least you're headed to a mrr-populated region and not the 'wilderness'.  I'm curious how you'll fit your layout into a studio apt. - is it modular?

Welcome back

Hey Chuck welcome back to the midwest. I hope you wont have to be seperated from your family for long. Model Railroading can only supply just so much comfort.

Changes can be good...

I sure hope everything works out for you & your family.  Good luck!

Just think of the advantage of the mid-west...

... a basement.

Modeling a fictional GWI shortline combining three separate areas into one freelance-ish railroad.
