Hopefully you will get to do some fun railroading today...either real or model ( that does NOT include tearing out the Siskiyou ! ). Enjoy the day !

Thanks, everyone
Thanks, everyone. Yes, planning to make a fun day out of it with family coming over tonight to celebrate with food, just hanging out, and then later a movie we all love.
I've started on Siskiyou Line 2 construction ... here's a photo of the first test module using my lightweight shadowbox methods. This section needs to have the fascia, valance, and backdrop added, but right now it's only 5 pounds! Once I add the fascia, valance, and backdrop, I'm estimating the module section will weigh in at around 10 pounds.
I put the module up on some paint cans stacked on the table to get it at the ~50" height it will actually be at once it's got legs. Once a module is all done with track, wiring, scenery, structures, and details, my goal is 40 pounds max. Light enough one person can lift it!
More about this coming in the June issue of MRH ... as well as some videos and books planned covering all the new approaches I'm taking with SL2. I also hope to have the first two modules of SL2 on display at the NMRA National in Kansas City this August.
