need help powering my track

ok so i have a standard oval layout with life like power lock track the pic above is a picture of the terminal track i use to power the track. any how i need to ad a second terminal track because when the train engine gets to the back hand curve it starts to slow down as if its not getting enough power. so i have 2 questions

#1 will the wire in this ebay link work    http://www.ebay.com/itm/058B-HO-LIFE-LIKE-POWER-LOC-TRACK-POWER-CABLE-CUSTOM-MADE-6-FT-LONG-18-GA-/252539627008

#2 since im using 2 terminal tracks would i just grew 2 wires to each terminal on the power supply/transformer/speed thingy or what?

kinda new to this hobby so i guess im asking how do i power the second terminal track would i power it the same way i power the first one using the same transformer or do i use a second transformer also i use a stanrd life like power pack that comes with most life like train sets

Same Transformer

Hi Kaitlin4599,

You can use the same transformer for both power feeds to your track.

Bruce is correct...

...you only need one controller just make sure you connect the same rail on both sides of the oval to the same terminal on your controller otherwise you get a short circuit..

If using the wires in the picture then as an example the outside rail connects to the wire with the white stripe. Both sides of the oval need to be the same.

Welcome to the hobby its good to see another woman modeler especially one named Kaitlin. Below is my daughter Kaitlyn (different spelling) operating with me on the Claremore and Southern club layout. She is a bit older now!

Re: hi

thanks i think what i will do is test one terminal track at a time i.e power one terminal at a time until i figure out which wire goes where
